Sometimes I don't post because I have nothing interesting that happened. Other times, I like to post because I haven't posted in like two or so days. So, I give you this You Tube Vid -- Wilber the Cat. (His owner doesn't realize that Wilbur is spelled with a U and not an E, but hey, it is his cat and he can name and spell that name anyway he wants.)

As many of you know, my cat, Archie is named after Horatio Hornblower's little pal -- Archie Kennedy. Yesterday when my niece, Toria, and I went to Target, we saw many very nice cat toys. I saw this and HAD to have it. Because a cat named after a sailor NEEDS his own ship.

He is Archie and his ship. All good captains should check over their ship before going inside. ( put under the cut for size )

For over a year, the tabloids have been reporting that Anne Hathaway's boyfriend is a crook. They have asked her why she stayed with him. She stood by her man -- until now.

This morning Good Morning America reported that her boyfriend has been busted for fraud and that he and Anne are no longer seeing each other.

Can you believe that the tabloids, who are known for stretching the truth, hit this one on the nail?

Mom and I watch a lot of ABC because, let's face it, there are only some nights with good shows. Tonight isn't one of the good TV nights (at least in my house). SOO -- we are watching Wipe Out. This show looks completely STUPID and it is actually very funny in that "is this supposed to be funny?" way. What people will do to get on TV.

I would rather be Will. :D

Finally got to see Sophia Myles in her Dr. Who episode. Must say it was rather interesting, but those clock guys are the stuff of nightmares.

Do you ever fall for someone and then either find out that you saw them in something else before and never really noticed? I have done that with a couple of actors I like. What I find even more interesting is falling for an actor and then learning he is a decendent to a favorite author. Such is the case of Harry Lloyd. He is the 3 greats grandson of Charles Dickens, who just happens to be one of my favorite authors.

When I was a teenager, I got into Dickens and found this bio, which, I have to admit I only read until the part, where his sister-in-law passed away. Back then, I had great intentions on reading, but never really the follow through.

There is one thing I loved about Dickens was his soulful face. It is strange that sometimes I do see that in Harry. Strange how you can keep the basic looks in the family for like 6 generations. I notice that in my own family that our personalities are similar. Wouldn't it be cool if Harry inherited some of Charles quirks? We could be watching Harry on those little interviews he gives for the BBC and be seeing a glimpse into the personality of Charles Dickens. Cool, don't you think? So, what do you think in the family looks wise. Do you see a bit of Charles in Harry?

Just noticed that I don't have an icon about awards shows, but do I really need one? So, since Anne was at the Oscars last night, I am doing one of hers. :D

My view on the Oscar ceremonies:

I thought Jon Stewart did a good job. He didn't have anything lag and even on the jokes about the Oscars lagging for fillers, that was cute. "Now a tribute to peroscopes and binoculars" - I thought he was kidding, they actually did a montage with those in different movies. LOL!!!!

The show ran a bit long, but doesn't it always? I wish it would start at 8 pm, so it would be done at 11:30 instead of midnight. Watching James McAvoy and Josh Brolin was cute. Josh told James he did a bad Nicholson impression. I don't think that James was even trying - he was using his Scottish accent. Since when is Jack Scottish? But, as always Jack was in the first row and got a kick out of it and some other things said in regards to him. Also in the guys from Superbad cracked me up with their little speel before giving an award, too.

What was up with John Travolta's hair? Both he and The Rock had the same hairdo. Makes you wonder if A) they are in a movie together or B) just have no taste in how to make your hair look presentable. I did think it was cool that he waltzed into his being introduced to present. I noticed he slipped a bit in front of the mike. Colin Farrell slipped, too then made the most of it, because he slid across the floor for the fun of it.

As for the winners and those who didn't but should have. I wanted Cate Blanchett to win one award. I wanted Atonement to win lots of awards and only saw one that it won. I was happy that Daniel Day Lewis won. To me he is an AMAZING actor. I liked how he bowed down to my fangirl Helen Mirren when he got the award.

To sum up all. It was a nice night. :D

My views on the red carpet so far --

I like watching E! and Ryan Seacrest is doing the interviewing. Both Anne and James were there, hence me using this icon. I must say I was very excited to see James, who came with his wife. I definitely want to right click and save some pics of him. Le Swoon! Anne Hathaway looked beautiful and so does Katherine Heigl. Red is the color for the red carpet tonight!

Most interesting thing to happen is when Gary Busey, obviously drunk, stoned or both, comes up to Ryan as he is trying to interview Laura Linney and Jennifer Garner and yells, "Ryan! I have got to talk to you! I want an interview with you!" This freaks out Ryan, Jennifer and Laura. Jennifer and Ryan are visibly freaked out. THEN Gary comes up and gives Laura a hug and kiss and then gives one to Jennifer, whose body goes stiff, so Gary gives her another kiss. Laura quickly pulls Jennifer away from the interview. Ryan tells Gary that he can give him the interview later.

Next up - what is happens at the Oscar ceremonies.

OMG!!!! Hold on to your computer chairs, so you don't swoon off the chair. Also, cover your keyboard with a drool towel. We don't want any short circuits. Sexy boy doesn't begin to even attempt to say what I think of the smouldering one.

Oh and quick note about work and work mates. Today work was nice. The boss made us cheeseburgers for lunch! I found to my surprised, a bit in dismay, but I am all right with it anyway - that the one person at work I sometimes can't stand is the one person that would be there for me IF I needed her. She and I also have some things in common. She told me they are doing a festival at Fort Mifflin in April and would like us to go together. That is something I would really be interested in doing. Although, the $30.00 admission isn't that great. It is so strange how life works sometimes.

Super Bowl Ads -- Part of the fun of the Super Bowl is all the excitement about the game. The commercials, especially. Here are my top three favorites for the Super Bowl this year. I have to admit that I thought some were a bit on the scary side, some were on the boring side and some had yuck factor. In fact, one of my faves had a yuck factor in it, so I am choosing part 2 of that same commercial. Runners up for my favorites - second place: screaming animals for Bridgestone, third place: the dog training the horse for Budwiser, fourth place: Justin Timberlake for Pepsi, and the fifth place winner: the unibrow girl for Planter's peanuts commercial.

Dedicated to all the Jason fans out there. This video is so wrong, but so right, if you use the context, but then don't we all do that when we root for Guy of Gisbourne over Robin Hood?

I made some more General Hospital icons. Some stories work on soaps and some stories don't work. Then there are the stories that could work, but they don't really give them a chance. Such is the case of Cooper Barrett. Tons of stuff could have been done with this story, but what do they do? Kill off the character as a scapegoat for a murder mystery.

One story that holds interest is the Zacchara family. At first, I thought, UGH! Bruce Weitz as the crazy patriarch is well . . . great. Stephen Macht as the lawyer, who wants to rule the family is very creepy, but works in the story. Brandon Barash as Johnny is a surprise. Here, you want to hate the guy, but I think in part to the actor, who plays him, he has brought a multi-faceted character that you want to root for. To bring Sarah Brown back to GH as his sister is as great a touch as the father and I can't wait to see what happens when she comes on board.

My love for Nikolas is waining. He has been a pain in the head and ass lately. But, Jason, now he deserves more than Liz and Carly. Really now.

This is the kind of day I had today. It started with the problems of the last few days and then this morning, we couldn't find Archie. I was too stunned and a bit numb to actually feel anything. I went to work and an older man said - when he gets hungry enough, he will come home. Another lady said that her cats disappeared this past Thanksgiving and showed up the next day. That made me feel I had hope to find him.

I got home and my Mom was beside herself. She said, I called the SPCA, the police department, asked the neighbors and had Joanne and Vic (my sis and bro-in-law) search the house up and down for Archie, but we couldn't find him. You HAVE to do a Lost Cat poster. I was thinking so soon? So, I made one on MS Publisher and sent it to the police department via e-mail because that was what Mom told me to do. After I send the e-mail, Mom checks outside again and guess what? Archie came in from outside. He was hungry. But, at least I have him back. Mom cried she was so relieved. I was just relieved.

Because of this, I wanted to change my computer wallpaper. Archie's excursion made me wonder if cats did rule. Maybe they do. Who knows? I made my new computer wallpaper based on the theme of Moonlight. Thought I would share with you. Click on picture to get full size and you can always right click and save if you like it. Strange how losing your cat makes you change your computer wall paper.

On a lighter note, I thought I would give in to a gush fest for Harry Lloyd. Like crumpeteer said in her LJ, Harry's Will Scarlett is the type of guy you take home to Dad and marry. I was watching this video and thinking, does he have a girlfriend?
